Practice Log is a local-first app for instrument practice tracking and recording archiving. When the app is used as a guest, core practice records and recordings are stored on the user’s device. If the user connects a Google account, information needed for account, group, and weekly ranking features may be stored in Google services such as Firebase.
The app may store the following information:
If the user connects a Google account, the app may also store:
The microphone permission is used to support recording features. The notification permission is used to support practice reminders.
Stored data is used for the following purposes:
Guest-mode app data is stored on the user’s device.
When the user connects a Google account or uses group features, account profiles, group data, group membership data, and public practice stats may be stored in Firebase Authentication and Cloud Firestore. Audio recordings are not currently uploaded to the cloud for group features.
In guest mode, Practice Log does not send core practice data to a developer server except when the user explicitly exports or shares data.
If the user connects a Google account, account and group-related information described above may be transmitted to Google/Firebase services to provide sign-in and group features.
If the user explicitly uses the export feature, a backup ZIP file may be generated and shared through a user-selected external app or cloud service. In that case, the privacy policy of the selected external service may also apply.
The developer does not sell user data or share it for advertising purposes. Google/Firebase may be used as a data processor to provide account connection, authentication, and group data storage features.
Users can delete sessions, recordings, notes, and markers inside the app.
The app reset feature clears app data and login information on the device. If the user deletes their account, the app attempts to delete the Firebase Auth account, and cloud profile and group member displays are marked as a deleted user.
Backup ZIP files exported to external storage or services must be managed and deleted by the user.
Permissions and sign-in are requested only when needed for related features.
If cloud backup, synchronization, subscriptions, or other features are added in the future, this policy may be updated. Important changes will be announced through app updates or release notices.
Before public release on Google Play, inquiries are handled through the project repository and release communication channels. For public release, the developer contact email and the official privacy policy URL will be maintained with the app listing.
